My name is William, or you can call me Will. I have always had a passion for nature and the outdoors. I love being immersed amongst plants, wildlife and landscapes. As I grew older and more inquisitive I became more and more interested in plants and how to look after them. I was amazed at this simple and obvious realisation of how plants are alive and living. They need love and attention just like anything else. I wanted to be apart of that, apart of life in its fullness and that's where A Gardeners Life began.

A Gardeners Life started in 2021 just after the Covid-19 pandemic. Previously I was working in my family business, Garners Garden Centre in Silverdale, Newcastle-Under-Lyme. A very well established business in the area that is well known amongst many. I worked for Garners part time from the age of 15 and then when I left college I started working there full time. So you could say I have been amongst plants and horticulture for most or if not all of my adult life. At Garners our ethos was to offer the best service possible and to always have our customers in mind and of course our plants. This all encompassed a family atmosphere which created a loyal and trustworthy environment. There is a huge amount of skills that I feel I have learnt from working in a retail, service, customer centred environment that also had to look after thousands of plants.

Now when I decided to branch out from the garden centre to start my own gardening business, I want to offer the same to my customers. To offer the best service, using the most up to date and best tools and machinery. To constantly learn and grow in becoming a better plantsman and gardener, to undertake courses regularly. To comply with the laws and requirements for best practice and health and safety. So A Gardeners Life is a growing gardening business that as the name suggests has passionate and purposeful people behind it.

Our people are what make us unique. Rather than outsourcing our construction engineers from questionable outsourcing establishments, we provide them with an environment that supports professional growth.

We are strong believers in giving our employees a voice. Our teams are put together with the help of our resident psychologist to ensure maximum productivity and engagement.
